Luzerne County Local is a campaign made possible through funding distributed through Luzerne County and the CARES Act. It is a collective effort to raise awareness of the importance of choosing local goods and services when making purchasing decisions. While it is launching around the 2020 holiday shopping season, Luzerne County Local is not just about shopping. It is about urging consumers to truly consider the power of their buying decisions in all arenas, from retail goods to professional services delivered by local firms, experts and agencies.
The Luzerne County Ready Pledge was launched to communicate a commitment made by businesses of all sizes to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their employees and customers. Being Luzerne County Ready means that all federal, state and local public health guidelines are being followed at any location with the Luzerne County Ready designation, which can be identified by printed and digital signage. These guidelines include following proper social distancing, sanitation, and cleaning protocols, and will enable our community to continue to be a great place to live, work, and play. Visit luzernecountyready.org for more details and to take the pledge.
