Eagle Aquaponics, LLC

We are an Urban Farm located in Mountain Top, PA. We grow produce year round using a process known as aquaponics. Aquaponics is a symbiotic relationship between fish and plants and by harnessing this relationship we can grow year round in the most unlikely places. I raise Tilapia (Not for sale) to grow produce such as lettuce, spinach, cilantro and other greens. The fish provide the ammonia needed for the system. Once the ammonia is in the system then bacteria changes the ammonia into nitrates that the plants then consume. The fish provide the nutrients for the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. It is a great relationship that we are harnessing at Eagle Aquaponics to provide year round, fresh and locally grown produce free of any type of chemicals.
